Astronomy Day -- 2008

When:    Saturday May 10th 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Where:  The KCMSD Planetarium at Southwest Early College Campus
               6512 Wornall Road
               Kansas City, MO 64113
Note: There will be very limited parking in the school parking lot.

Astronomy Day is a grass roots movement designed to share the joy of astronomy with the general population - "Bringing Astronomy to the People."

Lunar Rock Samples from the Apollo missions
Exhibit and Activities from the Linda Hall Library
Safe Solar Viewing with Telescopes
Robotics Demonstration
Planetarium Programs
May Skies
NASA Video: The Time of Apollo
Mars Phoenix Lander Mission Update
Solar System Adventure Tour

Make and Take Activities:
Sundial
Moon phaser
Rotating Star Finder
Big Dipper Star Clock
4-Finger Star Map
and many other hands-on activities demonstrated by teachers, and students
